What are the favorite Naruto characters for cosplay?

This list is not complete, but here are some of the favorite characters we found on the net. You can search for yourself, and’ll likely find lots of examples of people dressed as one of these characters.

Naruto

Well, it's obvious that the main character is of course  often portrayed by cosplayers. With his characteristic orange outfit, hairstyle and outstandingly charming personality, it’s not hard to quickly obtain a good likeness. A bit more challenging is tracking down the right colored contact lenses, either in bright blue, or as red eyes for the Nine-Tails Naruto.

Sasuke

Naruto's friend (?) and rival is of course another favorite for cosplay. As well as other members of the infamous Uchiha clan, whom you occasionally see as a cosplay theme. One thing to be mindful of: the right contact lenses are vital to play a Uchiha, because of their characteristic Sharingan eyes!

Hatake Kakashi

Kakashi is without doubt one of the most popular and coolest characters. With his face mask, impressive white hair and the Konoha Jonin outfit, he has a very typical style, that is perfect for cosplay.

Sakura

While certainly not being as strong as Naruto or Sasuke, Sakura is often regarded as the most balanced character in the series: she's not the best, but her qualities are various: she's beautiful, smart, skilled, mature, respectful, selfless and kind! She obviously is a favorite with the fans because of these qualities!

Rock Lee

He is the manliest character of them all. Some say that Naruto is the greatest because of his sheer will and determination, but Rock Lee is the only character that does everything by the sheer power of his persistence. This dude is the epitomy of hard work and determination! Having no natural ability he's had to work a hundred times harder than any and everyone else.. And his drunken style is ferocious!

Gaara

Chillingly composed, but incredibly strong and cool. Gaara is one of the biggest stars in the Naruto-universe. He’s a great prospect for cosplay, if you can acquire the right jar to carry on your back, of course!

Madara Uchiha

Madara is one of the most powerful, evil, and epic character in the Naruto series. He is the most diabolical character ever and I'm glad Kishimoto decided to make him a Main villain because he is so awesome!

Orochimaru

Orochimaru is surely the most interesting villain this series has ever had. Without a doubt, I would consider him one of the most memeroable bad guys of all time.

Generally speaking, both ANBU-costumes and (Konoha) Jonin-jackets are very popular for cosplay.
